Credit Cards

Credit cards carry high rates of interest. Most people have more credit cards than they need. DO THE MATH.

You Really Should Do Something About Those Credit Cards

Man, people are idiots about credit cards these days

So much so that it makes us want to Destroy not just the cards themselves, but the people who misuse them. Sadly, the laws of this country prohibit us from taking others' lives, much as it might be to the common good. Plus, there is a certain level of satisfaction inherent in helping a person overcome their financial problems. It would be too easy to just Destroy a person who has an obscene number of credit cards. It is more of a challenge -- and thus more satisfying -- to convince them how moronic they are and belittle them until they come to their sense and change their ways.

Why you don't need more than like two credit cards

Because the typical card allots you a limit of several grand. Do you need that many more credit cards in all honesty? No. Why do you sign up for all those credit cards that get offered to you by mail or online then? Because you really need to accrue all those frequent flyer miles that you will never get off your lazy ass and use? Because the introductory rate is low and there is no annual fee for the first three years? Please, for the love of Pete, cut the freaking crap already.

These are all ploys that companies want you to believe so that you will sign up for their credit cards. News flash. They will be more trouble than they are worth. The interest rates are absurdly high, meaning that the more debt you rack up, the harder it is gonna be for you to pay them all off. The interest compounds, leaving you wishing that you had been smart enough to only use the one or two credit cards you probably need to go through day to day life. When you pay cash, there's no interest. It's done.

The delusion that credit cards are like spending free money cripples consumers' finances every day. It is time to get it through your exceedingly thick skull that you are on your way to a world of fiscal hurt if you think this way.
